MAY 20, 2019

I know I was never there yet but I know I was moving forward, this whole process that is sometimes painful is worth it and always got a bigger reward, I will be able to serve the people of Cambodia well, my leaders, my companions, other missionaries, the people I love, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and better prepare for my future.

I am sorry if I make this weird email some of you worry about me, but I am doing great, and I make sure I smile and laugh a lot. You all know me, I cry a lot but I love it shows that I'm still normal. It makes me strengthen my own testimony and I hope I get to strengthen yours too. I love you with all my heart!

I wanted to invite you all to remember our Savior, Jesus Christ and think about the things your are grateful for him, and say a little prayer and my promise to you is that He will hear you and you will feel His love. He loves you. I testify that with all my heart.

So if you're ever worried about something, don't be. If you really need to be consoled, don't be afraid to ask or to talk someone. That's something I learned this week as well.

I wanted to share a special passage from this week study:

"We must change anything we can change that may be part of the problem.. We thank our Father in heaven we are allowed to change, we thank Jesus we can change, and ultimately we do so only with their divine assistance. Certainly not everything we struggle with is a result of our actions. Often it is the result of the actions of others or just the mortal events of life. But anything we can change we should change, and we must forgive the rest. In this way our access to the saviors's atonement becomes as unimpeded as we, with our imperfections can make it. HE WILL TAKE FROM THERE" - Elder Jeffrey Holland

I know we are all have our own struggles but I promise you with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's help everything will seem to be lighter and easier. Your love for others will grow. You will have the desire to serve others and You will feel a lasting joy, peace and happiness that is swelling in your heart.

Love,
Sister Batiles
