Susadie KAPAMILYA! Kay tagal kunang hindi nagupdate! Miss you all! Something I've been studying on recently is Truth. There's a saying here in Cambodia that everyone uses if they're not interested. "All religion teaches to be good" meaning they're happy with the life they have now and arent willing to change anything for the better. What they dont know is the gospel just has so much to offer. Truth is such an important factor though, all religion teaches to be good. But Truth has more relevance than just being a good person. Being a good person is good, but for what purpose? They need Truth! Truth in the Plan Heavenly Father has given us, Truth in saving Ordinances, Truth in the True church. Knowing Truth changes good people to better people, especially through knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Once Truth is applied, they themselves know what they really need to do to be an even better person. Best of all, doing these things gives God the opportun...

Shes been here in the mission for 4 months, and shes killin it she speak good  khmer already, shes been a member for a long time ago but she decided to go on mission after she work for 2 yrs,  shes a pharmacist and no one knows it just only me    This week is a regular week for me except that it is very hot and sunny every morning and heavy rain in the  afternoon. Most of the people get sick and almost all of the people we visit (either investig...

I know I was never there yet but I know I was moving forward, this whole process that is sometimes painful is worth it and always got a bigger reward, I will be able to serve the people of Cambodia well, my leaders, my companions, other missionaries, the people I love, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and better prepare for my future. I am sorry if I make this weird email some of you worry about me, but I am doing great, and I make sure I smile and laugh a lot. You all know me, I cry a lot but I love it shows that I'm still normal. It makes me strengthen my own testimony and I hope I get to strengthen yours too. I love you with all my heart! I wanted to invite you all to remember our Savior, Jesus Christ and think about the things your are grateful for him, and say a little prayer and my promise to you is that He will hear you and you will feel His love. He loves you. I testify that with all my heart. So if you're ever worried about something, don't be...

Hello Everyone! How are you all?Good I hope.I'm good over here in  Cambodia no worries. Sorry these weeks have been kind of off and on with the emails. Someday I'll be able to write a whole long email about my whole life or something. NOT that anyone really wants that, hahaha.      Anyway, First things First. A short update (hindi pa wakas ang Probinsyano ) I'm being transferred! Out of Battambang (my 1st area) and to  Steung Mean Chey Phnom Penh! which about 7hrs. away from my 1st area. Funny thing is that I'm telling them that i receive a revelation Im going to Phnom Penh. Well my dream came true so basically the gospel is true! My new companion will be Sister Glenn shes  originally from New York but her parents move to Utah, she was confused if after her mission where she going! Hopefully she can help me learn some more Khmer, but she has to suffer through mine. Unexpectedly,   President called us to be the STL in South Stake Zone.    ...
how are you all this week?? we've been super busy this couple of weeks, yeah its rainy and sunny season here in Cambodia (climate change teh!) .First off, last week is our Zone Conference, but please let me tell you about the story of a Geese i dont know what it is in tagalog basta ganun sya, Geese, V formation, 70% uplift by working together, one goose takes the lead and will fall back when tired and another goose will step in "HONKING is equivalent to cheering each other on,if one goose is sick two geese will fall out of V formation to help.I really love the word ''HONKING'' in the spirit of Honking (cheering each other on).  This week was an awesome week. A week of hard work and great experience, but this week i was really trying to learn what a mission is supposed to do for me, for my family. I thought about what I said a 2-4 weeks ago.A mission isn't just about obedience. Although that is part of it.A mission is preparation for returning home to be cha...

This week was real hotttt! but its fun on its on way, one of my favorite times of this week is that seeing the different ways we get rejected but as the others say that "hindi ikaw ang nireject kundi ang Diyos'' nakakaiyak lang kasi but the missionary works continue we can still find joy and triumphs. That experience taught me that our words might not change others attitude, but kindness and services often can.    I learn that serving a mission much more than a duty, its a privilege and marvelous time of growth and learning.    I know that as we turn our hearts to God, we will see His love for us as He blesses us.I know that He is always there whenever we need Him. LOve you all      Hope you are all doing well!! Sorry my message is kinda short.Have a wonderful Valentines DAy everyone! Sister Batiles

So this week seemed so normal, we eat, sleep, work work until its time to go work again, but yesterday we had a happy day because we teach a new investigator and we teach a less active member that  lived in Japan I'm actually nervous because maybe she cant understand my khmer but honestly shes so nice she even say kumusta ka? we share her the importance of going to the church every sunday and i really felt the spirit touch her heart cause shes about to cry, and was like wohooo i believe that the spirit is everywhere even though we just talk in Skype only.    Bong Vee shes the daughter in law of Ohm Ohn we used to talk her every time we visit to their house, but unfortunately Ohm Ohn died last last week and after a week we never see her again but yesterday was a miracle she attended the church im so happy!! cause instead of saying her name i say Ohm Ohn!2x shes her! and my companion and other members ohhh sister shes already dead,no shes her! i mean the daughter in law ...

Its been a bit. one month in the country with the crazy language!! i have gain testimony even more of the little things have had a big impact on me and those around me. I remember what my Mission President said" piece by piece until its got a foundation gaining a firm testimony is a growing process'' from my everyday experiences here in mission it was never been easy but my faith and testimony about Jesus Christ strengthen me to push along! (laban lang!)  .     As I have read and prayed every day I can see the change it has on my heart and thinking. As I have wrote in my journal I can see the large impact it has had on my life. And I know that the little things I have been saying and doing have influenced those around me for the better.      I don’t really like talking about good things I’ve done, because it’s prideful and you shouldn’t do good things for praise. But I will say this. The Holy Ghost has worked through me on quite a few peop...

SABBAY! SADDAEY!

It was meant to be that life would be a challenge. To suffer some anxiety, some depression, some disappointment, even some failure is normal. We need the Lord's help in all that we do. The Savior cannot and does not work with perfect missionaries. He chooses to work with the "'weak and simple (D&C1:23) As we work on being good & doing good, the savior will help us along the way.I know the blessings come after the trial of our Faith, and does blessings might not come in the way we "'wanted"'or the way we expected.    Here is a story about Elder Bednar (of the Twelve Apostles) who went and visited a young man you was terminally ill in the hospital, this young man thought for sure Elder Bednar would come and bless him and a miracle would happen. Well when Elder Bednar came he asked the young man "Do you have faith that the Lord can help you become well again?" the man said yes of course. But then, Elder Bednar said, "Do you have faith t...
